Life at Cambrian

Living in Sudbury

With a population of approximately 160,000 people, Sudbury provides small-town friendliness and big-city appeal, making it a great place to live and learn for both the outdoor adventurer and urban enthusiast. Sudbury’s 330 lakes and pristine wilderness surroundings provide lots of winter and summer recreational activities. The city’s theatres, countless festivals, big-name concerts, restaurants, and retail shopping centres offer places to have with fun with friends all year round.

Student Life

Expect concerts and comedy nights, varsity games, toonie lunches, family fun days, international dinners, Indigenous cultural events, and live entertainment. The Athletic Centre also offers plenty of fitness classes and recreational sports leagues if you like to have fun while staying active.

Student Housing

Imagine walking just a few steps to get to class. No buses, traffic, or long treks. Cambrian’s residences are located on campus and offer a convenient, safe, and fun way to balance studying and socializing. The dorm-style and townhouse-style residences can accommodate 677 students. Dorm-style units include two single bedrooms, a three-piece bathroom, and a kitchenette. Each bedroom includes a double bed, a closet, built-in wardrobe, a study desk and chair, and phone and internet access.

Townhouse residences offer six bedrooms, two of which have design adjustments to accommodate special needs. The bedrooms contain a captain’s bed and all the amenities of a dorm-style room. There are three bathrooms in the units – one full bathroom with shower, sink, and toilet, and two half bathrooms with a toilet and sink or tub / shower and sink.
